Enrollment
Registration for the 2008-2009 school year is currently taking place at the new Scales Technology Academy campus, 1115 West Fifth Street in Tempe (map)
Office hours: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. M-F
The registration process takes approximately one hour, so please plan accordingly.
Parents need to complete an enrollment packet for each child who registers. Stop by the Scales Technology Academy campus to to request one.
What you need to bring to registration:
- Your child’s certified birth certificate. Call the Arizona Office of Vital Records at (602) 364-1300 to request your child’s certificate if you do not have one.
- Your child’s documented immunization record for Hepatitis B, Diptheria, Tetanus, DTP, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Two verifications of residence, such as a lease agreement or utility bill.
Eligibility
Any child living in Arizona is eligible to attend Scales Technology Academy, provided that there is space available. There is no entrance exam. The requirements are the same as for any of the public schools in the Tempe Elementary School District.
Space is always available for students residing within the Scales Technology Academy attendance boundary.
Open Enrollment
Students living outside the Scales Technology Academy attendance area are welcome to enroll in our school. Open enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and students will be assigned in order on the waiting list.
Parents of these students will need to complete an Open Enrollment packet in addition to the regular enrollment packet. Please see http://www.tempeschools.org/parents/register.htm#open for more information or to download an Open Enrollment packet.
Registration will be open until each class is filled.
